Data security and privacy
Environment
The Novacom platform is hosted in our own premises with a control centre subject to human monitoring 24/7.
In addition, a Crash Recovery Center is being built on the CNES site in Toulouse (2 km from Novacom Services’s premises) that will relay the main computing center in case of major failure.
Technical performance
The platform has an availability rate greater than 99.9% per month and is processing more than two million messages a day from terminals deployed worldwide.
Data available
Through our platform, you can access many data available in various ways: map, tables, graphics and reports.
The data received are processed and available online for 120 days. Access to these data depends on the solution you chose (e.g. cold chain, security, maintenance, etc).
User-friendliness
The interface has been designed to simplify day-to-day user operations: map visualisation, tabular display of data, graphics and analysis report on performance and data (cold, security, etc.). User-friendly and fluid, this brand new user interface has been created to give you easily and quickly the right information when you need it with easy-to-use functions that translate detailed data into actionable information to enable better and faster decision-making.
Data integration and reporting
• Integration possible with your existing Transport Management Software (TMS), so you only need one system for all of your fleet management needs
• New reporting tools, complete with clear graphical representations, that measure individual asset or overall fleet performance, determine factors affecting performance and set target objectives for improvement - all available in one easy click
• Information can be delivered through our user interface &/or by server based data transfer
• Notification of serious events delivered through the user interface, via email or as an SMS text message
• You can share information with your customers or partners by creating and managing user accounts with specific rights
Alert Management
The Vwise interface offers the facility to create and manage alerts triggered by events sent back in real time from terminals in the field.
Monitoring modes are multiple. Here are a few examples:
- « Sensor and Position» alert
Combines criteria related to on-board sensors and/or to the position of the mobile terminal, e.g. “temperature above 80°C”, “mobile outside depot area”, “excessive speed”, warnings about all state changes in sensors (open door for example outside of the anticipated zone) or temperature higher or lower than a value (Cold chain version)
- « Zone crossing » alert
Alerts are generated when the mobile terminal crosses given zones that can be defined manually via the Web application’s map module.
- No transmission alert
If a piece of equipment does not report its position or other sensor data while it has been programmed to do so, the equipment administrator is alerted by SMS or e-mail that there has been a transmission failure.
- Standstill alert
If a mobile terminal is not moving when it should be.
The alerts can be configured to be sent in real time by email or SMS.
Activity reports
These simple, readable and understandable reports can be downloaded in Excel or PDF format, are sent at the desired frequency (every day, week, month) to the email address or addresses of your choice.
Each report can be customized to meet your requirements, for instance:
• A usage report with daily/weekly mileage and/or time driven/turned on
• A trip report with per trip the distance, duration and KPIs
